Banmankhi Assembly constituency, located in Purnia district, Bihar, is one of the 243 assembly constituencies in the state, reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) as per the 2008 Delimitation Order and part of the No. 12 Purnia Lok Sabha constituency. Situated in the fertile plains of eastern Bihar, it relies heavily on agriculture, supported by the Kosi River and its tributaries, and includes the Banmankhi Community Development Block and eleven gram panchayats of Barhara Kothi CD Block: Aurahi, Barhara Kothi, Dibara Dhani, Gouripur, Latraha, Mulkiya, Nipania, Rustampur, Sukhsena East, Sukhsena West, and Matihani.
