Arrah Assembly constituency, also known as Ara Assembly constituency, is a key seat (No. 194) in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, one of 243 seats, and part of the Arrah Lok Sabha constituency alongside Sandesh, Barhara, Agiaon (SC), Tarari, Jagdishpur, and Shahpur in Bhojpur district. It includes Gram Panchayats like Ganghar, Ramapur Sandia, and Arrah Municipal Corporation. Since 2015, it has used VVPAT-enabled voting machines, one of 36 such seats in Bihar. Historically, Arrah had two seats from 1952 to 1967 (Arrah and Arrah Muffasil), merged into one in 1967.
