Baisi Assembly Constituency, is one of Bihar’s 243 constituencies, located in Purnea district and part of the Kishanganj Lok Sabha seat. Established in 1951, it’s a general seat open to all, not reserved for specific groups like Scheduled Castes or Tribes, and covers the mostly rural Baisi and Dagarua areas. The 2011 Census shows about 7% of its voters (19,572) are from Scheduled Castes and 2% (4,818) from Scheduled Tribes. As per the 2008 Delimitation Order, it includes Baisi and Dagarua blocks.
