Barh Assembly Constituency is one of the 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar and is part of the Munger Lok Sabha constituency, along with other assembly areas. It is one of the 14 assembly segments in Patna district. Barh includes the Community Development (CD) Blocks of Athmalgola, Belchi, and Barh, as well as the Gram Panchayats of Dhiwar, Parsawan, Goasa Shekhpura, and Bihari Bigha in the Pandarak CD Block. According to the 2011 census, the constituency has a population of about 413,880, with 19.07% belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and 0.15% to Scheduled Tribes (ST).
