The constituency covers Begusarai municipality, Birpur community block, and parts of Barauni and Begusarai CD Blocks. It falls under the Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency. The area has shifted from farming crops like oilseeds, maize, and tobacco to being a key industrial hub, driven by the Barauni Refinery, which adds about ₹500 crore yearly to Bihar’s revenue and creates many jobs.
